AMS Contracting Services is a sole trading business set up for the purposes of providing a range of building, maintenance, installation and associated services. AMS Contracting Services was established in 1989. The business has quite a diverse history of experience. In the initial phase AMS Contracting Services was involved in installing commercial office furniture around Australia for an American company called Herman Miller Inc. This included office fit out work from full height partitioning to open plan workstations and covered the building of office walls and areas. Through the period 1992 to 2001 AMS Contracting Services provided a labour hire service for mining and manufacturing businesses and employed fitters, pipe fitters, boilermakers, welders, forklift operators and general labour personnel. As head of AMS Contracting Services my personal skills include: • Trade qualified Boilermaker with a vast knowledge of metal fabrication and welding including drawings and blueprints • Extensive knowledge and capability in carpentry projects • Extensive experience in many other maintenance areas From October 2001 to January 2014 I was employed by MM Kembla in this time I worked in the field of asset management. I was directly responsible for managing maintenance schedules and tasks and for the procurement of contractors to repair all areas of building and grounds as required. In 2014 I reformed AMS Contracting Services with a concentration in the handy man field covering a diverse range of projects. Listed below are some of the services AMS has provided in the past 2 years • Pergola installation from prefabricated to custom designed • Installation of new decking as per client design and specifications • Repair and replacement of exiting decking • Installation of prefabricated carport, sheds and balcony awnings • Minor wall and roof plaster repairs • Hanging of doors and repair or replacement of timber and metal door jams • Repair or replacement of door handles and locks • Minor gutter, roof and eave repairs • Kitchen cupboard and cabinet repairs and replacement • Attachment of cupboard locking devices for child proofing • Window and door lock installation • Window and door fly screens fabrication, installation and repair • Painting internal rooms, doors and handrails • Painting of external walls, handrails and surfaces • Fencing installation and repair • Repairs of leaks and replacement of washers, taps, toilets
