... Here they come again, looking better than anyone has the right to! The RocKwiz gang are going back out on the road. Bringing their unique brand of entertainment to a theatre near you. Comedy, Kwiz, Crowd Karaoke, sublime musicianship and of course and a cavalcade of stars!
Julia, Brian, Dugald and the superbly talented RocKwiz Orkestra will all be there. Pulling punters from the audience to test their rock knowledge and pulling stars from backstage to perform live and dangerous for you. Something old, something new but no one will be going home feeling blue! It all adds up to a magical night out.
Not quite Christmas, not quite summer, but an end of year spectacular like no other. ... this time around the nation we will also casting a cheeky RocKwizzy eye over the events that have shaped the year 2018.
So, if you’re wondering ... Why did hundreds nude up on the roof of a supermarket? Who consumes 28,000 kg of strawberries every year in early July? Closely associated with Louis Armstrong, Marcia Hines, Lindy Chamberlain, The Rolling Stones, Judy Garland and Michael Hutchence, who left the building this year?In the midst of the Roseanne controversy, who said, "racism is not a known side effect”?
... the answers might just come up in a ROCKWIZ REVUE 2018 show ... at a theatre near you!

Australia’s oldest newspaper is hitting the road!
... Following mass lay-offs in Australian media and the merger of Channel 9 and Fairfax, The editors of The Betoota Advocate will visit each corner of the country explaining how, in this day and age, they have managed to keep a newspaper in the black.
“This is the first of its kind, it’s the first time The Advocate has been invited to spearhead such a project. Since our transition into digital media in 2014, we’ve garnered this cult-like following around the country and we felt it time to head out on the road and meet the people who’ve helped shaped our humble outback newspaper into what it is today” - Clancy Overell
In a brutally honest 90-minute presentation, editor Clancy Overell and editor-at-large Errol Parker—along with a very special guest—will treat audiences to a no holds barred live show in true Betoota-style, filled with their trademark wit and humour. Fast becoming one of Australia’s most widely read news publications, The Betoota Advocate has won over disenchanted millennials and attracted attention internationally with its jocular headlines.
Fan favourites include ‘ Builder Shocked As Apprentice Comes Back From Bunnings With Tartan Paint, Box Of Bright Sparks’, ‘Demolished Cheeseboard Suggests The Girls Are Having A Real Crack Tonight‘, ‘Reversing Boat Trailer Results in Chorus of Woo Sounds From Nearby Dads‘, ‘Kim Jong-un promises Bob Katter He Won’t Nuke Cloncurry’, ‘Inner City Leftie Saves The World By Positing Leftie Stuff On Facebook To Other Lefties’, and ‘Australia Enjoys Another Peaceful Day Under Oppressive Gun Control Laws’.
Whilst The Betoota Advocate has long thrived in the print, online, radio and podcast worlds, this will be the first time it is brought to life on stage.
VIP Meet & Greet Inclusions: - Gold seating - Meet & greet with Clancy Overell and Errol Parker - Photo opportunity - Souvenir VIP laminate - Souvenir Roadshow T-Shirt - Private Q&A session VIP patrons will be contacted via email by the promoter 7 days out from event with package details.

Message From Happy Visitor Below, Please comment if you agree!!!
Hello, Congratulations with your wonderful choices and success at the beautiful Anitas. It's such magnificent venue and I love seeing it buzz with life!
... I went to the Top Dog films last night & came out to see a huge crowd ready to go back in for the next film! Great.
Something for you to consider. How about setting up Anita's as the Independent Film capital of the Illawarra and Southern Sydney.? (Yes, people will travel down from Sydney - just needs lots of promotion)
Events Cinemas in Wollongong only rarely shows a quality independent film so Gala is the only other option or travel to Cronulla or even Newtown!
And with all cinemas during the school holidays it seems to be all children's films. Gala tries hard but - it's not on a pleasant location, a tired theatre, no where to eat & it's a high crime area. I don't go to their films after dark at all. Whereas Thirroul has it all...plus a bar to start the event. Brilliant. Anyway, thank you for all you are offering and keep up the good work! Regards, 😆

RIPPER OWENS (JUDAS PRIEST), SIMON WRIGHT (AC/DC), STEVE BALBI (NOISEWORKS/MI-SEX)
... JOEL MCDONALD (GILBY CLARKE, BRUCE KULICK), JAMES MORLEY (THE ANGELS), PAUL CHRISTIE (MONDO ROCK)
and introducing CYNTHIA GALLIE
with The Australian Symphony Orchestra...
Without question, AC/DC are one of the greatest rock bands in history. Their mammoth power chord roar became one of the most influential hard rock sounds of the '70s and is synonymous to rock culture to this day. It continues to be one of the defining sounds of rock and metal, and combined with the larynx-shredding vocals of Bon Scott (1974 - 1980) and Brian Johnson (1980+), the band enjoyed commercial success well into the 2000s, even up until 2016 selling out stadium shows across the globe.
LET THERE BE ROCK - ORCHESTRATED is a world first and brings to light a unique production scale that brings the thunderstruck sounds of AC/DC in to a world all of its own, featuring a line-up of some of the world's best rockers coming together to form a super group and backed by a 30 piece Symphony Orchestra to power out the biggest sound ever created!
You want Rock? You want Grit? You'll hear the full orchestrated rock arrangements of many AC/DC classics including 'Highway To Hell', 'You Shook Me All Night', 'T.N.T', 'Whole Lotta Rosie' and so many more in this two-hour concert production. Imagine 'Back in Black', the seminal anthem of generations, with the power of the 30 piece Symphony Orchestra conducted by Australia's most celebrated conductor - George Ellis, behind one of the most rocking super bands that can be assembled!
Titled in recognition of AC/DC's fourth Australian album released in 1977, Let There Be Rock - Orchestrated will feature ALL the hits from AC/DS's career from both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson era's. With a second to none line-up featuring AC/DCs own Simon Wright, Noiseworks founding bassist Steve Balbi, Guitar legend Joel McDonald, former bassist for ARIA Hall of Famers The Angels James Morley, Mondo Rock bassist Paul Christie, and featuring the vocal stylings of Tim 'Ripper' Owens of Judas Priest and introducing the most powerhouse female rock vocalist in the country Cynthia Gallie on lead vocals, this show will prove to be one of the most exciting Rock 'N' Roll events to hit Australia this year.

Californian rockers, Smash Mouth, have just announced they will return to Australia in November 2018 to play shows across the East Coast. The band will bring their unique sound that they have well and truly created and a style that is comfortably their very own.
... Smash Mouth were regular chart toppers and rode the wave of the 90’s ‘alternative’ music scene, selling in excess of 10 million albums worldwide. They are no strangers to our audiences with songs like the All Star, Can’t Get Enough of You Baby, Walkin’ On The Sun and celebrated Monkees classic I’m A Believer, all of which have become radio staples and included on party playlists everywhere!
Last year, the multi-platinum and Grammy-nominated band celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut, smash-hit album “Fush Yu Mang”. Out of nowhere, the single Walkin’ On The Sun was an immediate international sensation and quickly shot to No. 1 on the US Billboard charts, and eventually boosting the album sales to over 3 million copies in the US alone. In the two decades since, Smash Mouth have not slowed down. In fact, they are still vibrant as ever with their groovy beats, memorable melodies and fun lyrics.
Their 1999 release ‘Astrolounge’ was a brilliant follow-up album boasting three top- ten hits (“All-Star”, “Then The Morning Comes”, and “Can’t Get Enough Of You Baby”) and sales for that album nearly doubled those for their debut. Smash Mouth’s third, eponymous release featured the smash hit “I’m a Believer”. Around that time, Smash Mouth crossed over into the film world by providing the musical heart of the soundtrack for “Shrek.
Smash Mouth is indeed – at its core – about having fun.

Drove from Sydney to see this and what a waste of time.

The band were at best mediocre, drums sounded terrible all night, I think they only knew 4 ZZ top songs and still missed cues!!

The MC was the worst I have ever seen, and asked the most inane questions during the "personal" part, he also seemed to have done zero research. The most animated person on stage (besides the wanna be rock star son of the bass player) was the car guy and even then that content was boring.

All in all a total fail....... Anita's you were lucky it did not turn ugly :-( best to steer clear of that promoter should he darken your doorsteps again.....
