Applied Neuroscience Society Of Australasia (Ansa) Description

The Applied Neuroscience Society of Australasia is a professional membership organisation consisting of health professionals from Medicine, NeuroPsychiatry, Psychology, Nursing, Chiropractic, Naturopathy, Physiotherapy and Behavioural Optometry who are committed to the promotion of optimum health primarily through self-regulation, diet and nutrition. Our society is dedicated to advancing the application of Neuromodulatory approaches to intervention. These include Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation, EEG Biofeedback, Brain-Computer interface and neurocognitive enhancement.

Quantitative EEG and Event Related Potentials are a special focus of our society, presenting as a new and exciting field in the area of brain diagnostics. EEG is unique in providing a “window to the brain” through functional assessment of an individual’s brain states and information processing abilities. EEG Biofeedback (Neurofeedback) is an established evidence-based intervention with a strong research foundation, particularly in the area of attentional disorders. Our conference and workshops provide access to world class training and information about the application of new brain technologies.
