Argenton Hotel

Average. Have been here before & had a better meal. I noticed that the prices have increased. We had a seafood basket which i rarely do & I know why. Small piece fish,2 prawns & 3 small s&p squid with chips & salad $25. Never again.

Went there today. Very satisfied with my meal except the pizza was a bit too fluffy. Still better than your average dominoes pizza. Also had the mango salad and it was canned mango which was a bit disappointing but still a good meal. My nephew had the kids mac and cheese which was a little bit too milky and cheesy taste but that doesn't really matter to kids. Great family environment just make sure you don't get there after 1pm otherwise it's too busy. Decent prices. Would go there again.

Best food in newy. Great chef and awesome staff. My go to for lunch, dinner or any function.

This was once a rough pub but as usual with bad reputations from the past, this pub is fantastic with a play gym for kids that's bigger than most McDonald's! Great food and $10 lunch specials PLUS cabanas and a massive TV screen. A pleasant surprise in a quiet family area.

It was better than I had expected for a pub meal with the meals being large in size and the outdoor setting (where we ate) was very good. The Argenton caters for the family with the largest play equipment set-up I have ever seen at such an establishment. We will return.

Relaxed atmosphere. Good sized childrens playground. A very large screen TV. Private eating areas if you wish and exceptional value quality food. Hard to beat.

We had the pizzas. They were great. Heaps of toppings but most of all tasted great. Service and staff were excellent. Beers and soft drinks cold. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff. Sub-standard food. Nice coffee.

The staff made the effort to say hello as you walked through. Happy and friendly.

Boiled rice with stuff mixed in a sauce poured on it, is not Risotto. Then it was 3 prawns for an extra $8.

Bangers and Mash. Bangers where dry and the veggies soggy.

Mars Bar cheese was as solid as a rock. However beautifully presented.

Coffee from behind the bar was great.

However the smell in the bar was less than pleasant due to the smoking area doors being located in the bar.

Beer garden is very well set up. Nice place for meeting friends.

Excellent kids area with great outdoors seating nearby. Huge servings for main meals and good lunch time deals. Pricertainly of meals could be reduced if meal sizes were reduced as we struggled to eat everything - but can't complain about value for money.

They have improved their food, new chef I think since they renovated. But their beer selection is still very boring. Great big screen and kids playground though. So if you like. Tooheys new, some simple pub food and want somewhere to watch the footy or cricket and for the kids to dissappear then this is a good pub.

Great for kids. Good meal choices. Not overly expensive.

Excellent food and service. Highly recommend this Hotel for family functions. Will definitely come again. Thank you.
