Chakra is a Sanskrit word literally meaning wheels.
Have you always wondered what Chakras are and how they are connected with your wellbeing? Well here is your chance to find out. Join Lucas Benoist for this fascinating workshop on Chakras and its relationship with your wellbeing. Lucas started practising yoga in Thailand and found yoga to be self healing which brought him to the path of self exploration. It helped him deal with a lot his own body pain (specifically back and ...knee pains). He found balance and healing through yoga. In this workshop Lucas will share with you the benefits of yoga and how it helps to balance the wheels(chakras) within your body.
Lucas will explain how the subtle energy called prana is circulating through channels called nadis in our subtle body. According to yoga tradition there are 720000 nadis circulating throughour body and there are certain meeting areas of these nadis called chakras. So a chakra is an energy center located in a specific location of the body . There are seven of these energy centres located from the base of the spine to the top of the head. Lucas will explain the purpose of each chakra and how imbalance in each of these chakras creates disturbances in our general wellbeing. He will teach you several techniques to balance the chakras such as yoga postures, visualisations, pranayam and soon.
This workshop is open to everyone as we wont be moving into really advanced postures the aim being to explore what is going on internally within ourselves albeit on a more subtle level. Everyone can benefit from this workshop and we hope that you will take away something to apply in your own daily life to balance the energy centres within your bodies

Ayurveda and yoga are two sides of the same coin; both sciences promote harmony with the inner consciousness to strengthen the body and mind. The inner stabilisation of energy is done not only with asanas and meditation, but also with the therapeutics and pressure points, which are explained in Ayurveda.
With an immense zeal and commitment towards Ayurveda, Dr. Nikhila Venugopal aims to help people stay vibrant and healthy by analysing mind-body type and helping patients with diet, exercise, supplements and all other aspects of their lifestyle.
