Our Team was both saddened and angered this week when hearing about the vandalism of war graves at the Nowra cemetery.
With 90% of our team of security professionals being current serving or recently serving members of the Army it is close to our heart.
We have all lost friends and colleagues to the horrors of war in far away battlefields, to training accidents and to the torturous curse of PTSD.
... It is important to the veteran communities and their families to have places to go and remember their mates and loved ones. Similarly it is important that whilst we enjoy the freedoms gained from their sacrifice we as a community never forgot.
Although we were disappointed to learn that Opstar had had opportunity to offer their services before we had learned of this event, we thank them for doing so.
And for the efforts of team at Spotless, again we offer our thanks. Your swift action in enabling the cleanup of this site has returned this to a dignified and somber place of remembrance.
Events like this require commercial competition to be put aside for the betterment of the community and to that end we offer our support to Opstar, the RSL and Shoalhaven council to protect this important site.
Additionally we would like to offer our services to the RSL and councils in helping to secure memorials and monuments across the Shoalhaven, Kiama, Wingecarribee and Wollondilly Shire council areas.

Over the weekend our Patrol and Alarm Response team worked in some pretty poor conditions to secure homes and business across the Shoalhaven and Southern Illawarra. But we were not the only ones out in the rain and wind.
We would like to thank the volunteers of the State Emergency Services and Rural Fire Service as well as the men and women of the New South Wales Police Force, Fire and Rescue and Ambulance Service. They braved the elements at all hours of the day to keep us a...nd the people of the region safe, out of flooded areas and on roads that were safe and enabled us to do our work.
We also take our hat off to the team at Endeavour Energy, whose work with high voltage electricity is dangerous at the best of times, but who had the added risks of dark, rain, flood waters and extreme winds to contend with whilst restoring power and making fallen lines safe for us all.

Last week our Patrol and Alarm Response team encountered in two separate incidents Dogs on major roads.
Thankfully we were able to return them to safety and ultimately to their concerned owners.
One was able to be returned because a staff member recongnised the dog. The second, because its collar tag had a phone number.
... Dog owners please check your yards and pets are secure. This time was a happy ending but with both fury friends found on major roads frequented by heavy vehicles travelling at speed and in the wet, it could very well have been a sadder tale.
