At Aubert Furniture we are renowned for our high standard of restoration, craftsmanship and service. Our services include antique furniture restoration and conservation, furniture repairs and traditional French polishing & upholstery. Aubert Furniture was established in 1997 and we are proud to have been servicing Sydney with high quality antique restoration for over 16 years. Predominantly most of our antique restoration work we do is for the general public and involves working with family heirlooms. We also provide antique restoration and conservation services for trade and commercial clients.

At the helm of Aubert Furniture you will find Greg Aubert. Greg has been professionally restoring antique furniture for over 28 years and holds an Australian certificate in Traditional Furniture Cabinetry. Over the years Greg has worked for some of Sydney's best antique dealers & interior designers and has provided antique restoration work for some of Sydney's best homes. Greg works closely with his team of specialised qualiftied furniture artisans to produce the very best service for the customer every time.

Philosophy
Most of the antique furniture restoration work we do at Aubert Furniture involves retaining the original finish and patina where possible. We make every effort to conserve the originality, antiquity and provenance of the antique furniture we work with. All our restoration techniques are in accordance with standard antique restoration and conservation procedures. We don't do commercial spray lacquer polishing, all our polishing is traditionally done by hand using traditional techniques like French polishing (Shellac), waxing or oiling. We believe that in most cases "less is more" and antique furniture should always be traditionally restored and polished while retaining the original character and patina of the piece.
