We supply power to 1. 7 million homes and businesses through a network of more than 200 large electricity substations, 500, 000 power poles, 30, 000 small distribution substations and almost 50, 000km of below and above ground electricity cables.

This is a space for our customers to ask questions about their electricity supply and find out more about how we maintain and operate the network, not for commercial, political or other campaigns. It's also a space for everyone so if your post is offensive or contains spam it will be deleted.

• Check to see if your neighbours have power.
• Look outside for damage such as wires down or trees lying across powerlines.
• Stay away from any hazards and report them to us immediately ausgrid.com. au /report or on 13 13 88.
