-Friday 26th- Day for Daniel- children are asked to wear red and a gold coin donation supporting Daniel’s family.

Nurse Amy came to visit the children today to talk about Nursing in our local community. Amy demonstrated to the children how she would wrap a broken wrist on patient Kristy with Laycee’s help and Laycee did a fantastic job. Amy demonstrated to the children how to put a sling on patient Julie’s broken arm with Brax’s help, Brax can’t stop talking about helping Amy. Beth and Beau helped Amy check patient Vicki’s sore throat with a bad cough and Beau helped Amy tie a mask on Vicki to keep her germs to herself. Amy brought in ’Digby’ the manukin allowing the children to do some plastering on ’Digby.’ As a thank you from Amy to the children Amy put together their own little medical bag. Our Toddlers and Preschool children appreciate your time and effort you put into coming and visiting us today we had a fantastic time. 😃

Today Aussie Kindies got to meet Scott Beaton an Ambulance Officer. Scott came to talk to the children about what he does to help sick people in our community. Scott showed the children how your heart rate can be low and high, Scott was able to show the children by attaching cords to Joey and the machine would be stable once Joey started jumping you could see the movement in the lines. Scott got out the stretcher bed to demonstrate how it works and Mack was very excited he w...as able to assist Scott with this. Scott then allowed the children to have a look through the Ambulance car 🚑 showing the children all the equipment they need to have on hand for a emergency. Everybody was then really excited to hear the sirens go on the Ambulance when Scott left the centre. We would like to Thank Scott for visiting and taking time out of his day to share with the children how he helps people in our community.
