Australia-Youth Employment Services Description
We provide:
• Personal job seeker planning to find the right starting point
• Help applying for jobs, writing resumes and coaching on how to nail job interviews
• Access to training that matches jobs and businesses nearby
• Work experience and volunteering opportunities to build up skills
• Practical job placements to meet and work with local employers
• On the job support when they start work to make the transition a success
• An online kit to manage each plan with options for extra support
We can also help young people access:
• Help with driving lessons and getting a Driver’s Licence
• Financial help to make the most of their money
• Assistance they're at risk of being homeless
• Help to improve reading and writing skills
• Health support and counselling services
• Personal mentoring for extra guidance
• Cultural support
We work with young people who are:
• Unemployed, or casually employed and seeking more hours or security with their job
• Aged 15 to 24 at the time of registration
• Finished with Year 10 (or aged 17, if that comes first)
• An Australian or New Zealand citizen, or permanent residents
