The Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ANZAOMS) is the professional representative organisation for the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Australia and New Zealand.

The Australian and New Zealand Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ANZAOMS) is the professional representative organisation for the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Australia and New Zealand, supporting its members' ability to practice their specialty through education, research, and advocacy.

Oral and maxillofacial surgery (OMS) is the surgical specialty that includes diagnosis, surgical and related treatments of a wide spectrum of diseases, injuries, defects and aesthetic aspects of the mouth, teeth, jaws, face, head and neck.

ANZAOMS focuses on the latest developments in their surgical specialty through:

- Providing assistance to the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Board of Studies with regard to selecting, training and examining trainees and accrediting training programs.

- Representing oral and maxillofacial surgeons with regard to governmental and other institutional matters.

- Publishing and communicating relevant information to both members and the public as considered necessary.

- Conducting regular scientific meetings and encouraging the improvement of professional standards to enhance the continuing education of members and therefore the health of communities in Australia and New Zealand.

- Providing guidance to members on their responsibility as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon through the provision of a Code of Ethics.

ANZAOMS holds annual conferences and multiple professional development courses for its members. The Association welcomes new members who are Australian and New Zealand based Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Oral Surgeons and trainees occupying an accredited FRACDS training post in Australia or New Zealand.
