It’s not common to go on a war ship at a museum! Very well maintained and great exhibits. Great to bring kids along too. When we went, the animal photography exhibit was excellent!
A great museum with high quality displays and real life models of historic ships and special features like the anchor of HMS Sirius. Submarines are part of the study and are a suitable place for excursion. Interior is tidy and neat however the exterior needs to be cleaned as there is clearly a stench. Otherwise, all good.
Toddlers loved the visits to the ships (luckily they met minimum height requirement) however the museum itself held little interest for them. Most likely due to their age. Access to their outdoor area to access the tables and chairs is tricky.
Really swell. Had a great time. Normally, you only get to see the exteriors of the boats / submarine - but this gives you a chance to take a good look! I'd recommend especially if you have kids interested in a) boats and b) history. Some spaces are a bit cramped, especially Cook's ship - do be careful!

Would have been good if one of volunteers wasn't such a grumpy old bitch. Had a go at one of my kids at the top of her voice because he took a wrong turn and momentarily wasnt with me.
Happy to pay the $80 but wouldnt take my kids again
