Confusing questions, bad service, told me to told for 5 mins turned into 30 mins with no response??

The only positive thing you can say about the customer service from the ATO is that if the ATO didn't hire them, they'd be on the dole.

I have been on the phone for 45 minutes just to get a 7 day extension for payment of a debt. Also, the service and outcome of your request depends on the mood of the person you speak to. If you speak to somebody grumpy you definitely wont be getting any assistance or lenience.

From a person who never writes internet reviews, the staff at this office were extremely helpful and quick. I highly recommend paying them a visit if you need tax help.

The ATO is absolutely f'ing useless.

I came there this afternoon and had an awful experience. Everything was fine except for one Asian staff who I asked some questions about registering TFN. Dont know why he had that attitude while doing his job. Even if he had a bad day, he should not have served people like that. I did not expect a cheerful smile or an exceptional service, but please just be polite like when treating normal people.

This Centrelink has a nice setup.
The staff here are okay to talk to once you get around the shield they've created from being around a lot of people with different personalities.
They have two waiting areas and some computers you can use for Centrelink.

The worst service every single time. They need to fire that tall woman with the glasses. She has been there as long as the fixtures and is the most rudest soul there.

The staff there seem to think every customer is just there to claim money from the government and look down on them. No care given if you waited for more than 2hours, staff members rude and disrespectful. Monkeys might do a better job.

The most inept and difficult telephone experience of my life. Virtually impossible to be put through to the correct department. They should review their recruitment policies. Unacceptable.
