Very deceptive pricing! I booked online and the balance due on delivery was 850 AUD.. i read the confirmation voucher fully to confirm what was excluded in the rental price and none of those items apply in my case. So i was expecting to pay the 780 AUD + the car seat which i booked (70 AUD). Upon arrival and checking in.. i ended up paying 1347 AUD!! This is almost a 55% hidden cost. The checkin with with Europecar and the employee said that there is an airport fee, VRRF, local taxes which i had to pay and none of this is mentioned on the original booking confirmation

They charged me twice ! Refund is taking over 10days so far meanwhile I'm in Europe with my spending money somewhere else ... Not impressed with how Auto Europe have handled their mistake.

They hide charges that total up to 25% of the rental in the fine print and totally fail to point them out until the reservation is made. Very deceptive. And then they "can't do anything about it" and we need to take it up with the rental car company... Avoid!

All our flights were cancelled and we could not physically get to our destination to pick up the car. For a company that claims to have the guaranteed best service, this was far from the case. Instead, you wanted to charge $75.00 which was more than the car hire. Poor form.

Offered the lowest prices during the busy Christmas period. There was a mishap with Europcar and we ended up with a car in the lower category than what we had initially booked. Auto Europe checked up on me throughout the hiring period and organised a refund for the price difference.
Booking was for a trip to Adelaide, Australia.
Would recommend for low prices and good customer service.

Think twice before booking through Auto Europe!

Made a booking for Amsterdam Schiphol with my debit credit card. Never ever had problems with the card all over the world. The rude lady at the Hertz/Thrifty counter refused my card and did not even offer alternatives. She did not even accept a cash deposit. She said i could claim my money back and i did not get my money back. So no car and they kept my money.
Never ever again!!! Rather spend more money for more professional companies!!!

Booked with AutoEurope Australia, decided to cancel my booking within the 24hrs of booking UK car rental, office in Sydney cancelled my request straight away, deposit had already come out, thought I'd have to wait a painful 10 days before I saw the money back into my account but it was back that day!
Very cool. Who knows, just might rebook with them.

Have now used AutoEurope on several occasions to book hire cars in the UK. On each occassion I have found the process to be very straightforward and the value for money excellent especially with the free second driver option. Pickups and returns with Europecar in Portsmouth have always been simple, quick and efficient and I will continue to use EuropeCar whenever I need a rental vehicle in the UK or Europe.

Have used AutoEurope twice. We just got back from France where we picked up a car in Bordeaux and dropped it at Avignon after 3 weeks. This booking went through Hertz.Absolutely no problems dropping car in at Avignon TGV station.

Two years ago we booked a car in Italy for 3 weeks. Pickup in Florence. Drop-off in Lecco. This time the booking was through Avis. Again, no problems dropping the car off in Lecco.
