My book, Psittaculture, is finally available. The book represents 28 years of research on captive parrots, studying parrots in the wild and in captivity, discussing the husbandry of parrots with many individuals from across the globe and breeding many of the species discussed in the book. Psittaculture addresses subjects from avian medicine and pet ownership to the breeding requirements of captive parrots. I pray that that this book will mark a new milestone for parrot keeping.

The publishers are currently working on distributorships in India, South Africa, Brazil, various European countries and more. As the information becomes available I will post it.
There will also be 500 copies for sale at the parrot convention hosted by Loro Parque in Tenerife. Forty percent (40%) of the sales price of the copies sold during the convention will be donated to the Loro Parque Foundation for parrot conservation.

Note: This is my final issue as editor, however despite my stepping down from the role, I am very hopeful that Aviarylife will not be disappearing altogether. The plan is that the e-version will continue, albeit in a slightly different format, as a Global E-Newsletter, and with a new captain at the helm. I am certainly excited in the knowledge that the Aviarylife story won’t finish here. Stay tuned for more information on this soon!
