Hands down the best education I ever received. I suffered through moving schools 9 times in my life (G****n C*****e notably being one of the worst). It was a pretty tough time. Got kidnapped a fair bit, but I'm fine now. When I attended Avondale High School in my senior year my entire outlook on life changed - I haven't been kidnapped once in the last three years. Amazing. 11/10 would recommend.

I would give no stars if I could. Such a strict stuck up school. Oh and guess what if you even check the time on your phone between class or message using your laptop you will have to write a pathetic letter to the office by 9am hahahaha. They obviously need to educate themselves on technology and the reason behind schooling

I went here back in the 80's and it was a very strict school then, where the cane was in place and used if there were naughty students who flouted the schools rules. Although it was strict then, I loved going there because it was a great school. There was no bullying then because of the cane and fear of you getting it! I had some fantastic teachers though: Mrs Thomson, my Kindergarten teacher. She was wonderful and would give each student a Blackberry Juice Ice Block she'd make at home and bring in on hot days! There was once I was waiting for class and the wind blew the heavy solid door shut on my little finger and nearly chopped it clean off! Mrs Thomson called my dad and he came to get me to take me to the local doctor and get it sewn back on. After a few days off school, Mrs Thomson actually visited me at our house in Currans Rd (the block of flats that got burnt to the ground back in 1980/81). I was amazed! She popped in to give me a present and to say to my parents, "He didn't even cry! Not even once!" But yeah....she was an amazing teacher! Year 4, I had Mr Charleston. He was a good teacher and would teach music at times. I loved music and playing the instruments then! Back then, the airport was actually in use and when in high school, you were given the chance to go for your pilots license through the school! But now....the airport sits dormant and closed. Shame really..... All in all, I enjoyed my time at this school!

I'm a former student, I had a really bad experience here. Don't be fooled by all the smiles and friendliness, 80% of it is fake and just to suck you in. The Early Learning Centre is nice, but the primary school and high school are both full of stuck up, high achieving pricks, who will torment you endlessly, psychologically, emotionally and physically relentlessly if you show any sign of uniqueness. There is a very poorly enforced bullying policy in place, as a result of which bullying is not taken seriously at all. Literally none of the teachers give a s**t. All they care about is getting paid. DO NOT send your child here unless you wish for them to be scarred for life. I have trust issues and mad anxiety because of this godawful school. Trust me, it'll ruin them. I've seen it ruin countless other students' lives, all of which were "different" in some way. Please, if you're looking for a nurturing environment for your child, this is NOT the school for you.
