Babacharlie - Malaysian Nonya Restaurant & Bar

About Babacharlie - Malaysian Nonya Restaurant & Bar

Newly opened, Baba Charlie displays authentic and exotic baba malay style flavours!

Babacharlie - Malaysian Nonya Restaurant & Bar Description

We are a newly-established restaurant, located on the eastern side of Darling Harbour, otherwise known as King St Wharf.

Our cuisine is based on recipes from the owner’s home country, Malaysia, thus you can rest assured you are getting authentic Malaysian food, made under the watchful supervision of a real Malaysian.

Malaysian food is an exotic blend of flavours, resulting from the migration of various nationalities and cultures into Malaysia, due to it’s geographic location.

The main culinary influences are Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, Thai and Arabian. Over the centuries, this has resulted in Malaysia having it’s own unique style, a fusion of these various styles of cooking.
