Reviews
Definitely hit the spot especially with the tender steak & gravy pie.. crust is to die for and the cherry custard strudel topped it off.. will return
Nice little place. Ok food but not outstanding. Forgot to bring out my pie until I asked again
Lovely little bakery with delicious fresh produce.. will definitely be coming back
Big pies and a huge selection. I have no benchmark for quality as i havent had kangaroo in a pie before but it was great. The crust is incredible
Nice cruise to Leura from Sydney. Pies here are generous in serving. Had the steak and gravy, it wasn't bad. Not amazing. Worth a try.
Delicious food and friendly staff. Nice place to have dessert and coffee too.
Very delicious. ...staff very friendly thanks
Great spot for generously-sized gourmet pies that are made in-house. My favorites are the curried veg and tandoori chicken. They also have delicious sourdough bread.
Great pie (Lamb & Rosemary) decent sausage roll (although pricey) but the Sourdough loaf we took home was disappointing. Dry and fairly tasteless for a Sourdough and at $7.50 for a smallish loaf, not very good value. Great pie though and service!
Every time ive been the staff where rude and the coffee beans were burnt. Waste of money
Went to Springwood today (Sunday) ordered a steak and kidney pie. Charged $7.20 because it was Sunday.
The pie was ok, not the best for that price. Plus it was not steak and kidney. It was beef with peas and some cheese I think.
Will not be going again
Great coffee. Decent selection of cakes, pastries and pies.
A little too expensive but not bad food, coffee a little flavourless and the staff were a little lifeless/no personality. Middle eastern fruit loaf is my favourite to date.
Friend always makes a purchase here for our lunch and it's best pies I've eaten so far.
nice pies, but they never have enough vegetarian pies, any they always sell out. you'd think if they always sold out, they might make more, but no... As a result, visiting here is frequently disappointing.
If you want to charge top dollar for a simple sausage roll($4.90), then put some quality ingredients in it, like meat!
Worst sausage roll I've had for years, mushy crap! I know what you do with your stale bread!
The experience was poor. The morgans coffee you use is good quality but staff unable to mange orders as requested. Congratulations springwood I wont be back.
Great range of fantastic pies & sausage rolls for a quick fairly cheap feed.
Server was curt and wrong-changed me. Still a lovely place and I'll continue to come: the quietest and most picturesque cafe in Blackheath. Politeness goes a long way. As for the coffee: i fail to understand why some reviewers offer opinions in absolute terms, e.g. 'bad' coffee or 'great' coffee. I suggest these individuals consider the many experiments that establish the unreliability of gustatory discrimination, and then proceed to dismount their illusory culinary 'high-horses'. One could argue that such individuals are under-educated and that their reviews be ridiculed. Perhaps Australians should aim to acquire more education and less calories in their indefatigable search for validation through ill-conceived attempts at striving for faux 'expertise' when they reflect on their impoverished understanding of any substantial mode of intellectual or artistic endeavour.
Consistently good cappuccino's & good pies.
Service maybe slow when busy but worth the wait
Excellent Pie, sandwich, cakes and coffee shop with heaps of other delightful things to stuff in ones face! TRY the Lemon curd tart..talk about sharp and lemonie..blood beautiful. The ladies are very delightful and helpful...very different now days!#рҹҳӢрҹҳ…рҹҳҶрҹҚ°рҹ‘Қрҹҗ–рҹҗ–рҹҗ·рҹҗ Ҫ
Popular pie shop selling good food. The queues moved at an acceptable rate but in store dining was fairly basic.
Best pies on the planet...... and you get that with рҹҳҒрҹҳҒрҹҳҒрҹҳҒ staff. Brilliant
Hidden & popular gem does great pies, cakes, breads etc. Also does coffee & has a small shared-table indoor/outdoor area to eat
A cosy little bakery. Friendly staff. Nice place to stop by on your way around the Blue Mountains.
Fabulous and wide variety of pies.
I came at a really busy time of day when it was really crowded which did mean that pies that we had initally wanted were running out even though the staff were bringing freshley baked pies out of the oven. The staff were still so friendly and remained calm even with a lot of customers and numerous orders.
