Abit disorganised for big sporting events.
Melb Cup - no audio on TV in bistro, no auditable sound on main TV in other showing areas. I would give it a miss if you have options.
No courtesy bus as promised when we booked. Poor service

Comfortable rooms at a cheap rate. Great service and helpful staff. Central location with bars and restaurants in the building.

Great Bistros (both of them). Went twice, one dinner, one lunch. The lunch was good, burger and fries. Very tasty.

Dinner was OK. Can't help but feel the pasta special was using old ingredients.

Overall, good value for money.

Banjo was quite an interesting place. Had lobe music performance by a young talented singer and also a dance floor with DJ. Security was pretty tight with finger scanning and all, but not a bother. I was ñot quite fond of dance music, but i am probably too old for it anyway, also not a fan of too loud music that is so common in clubs and this was no exception.

When arriving at the Banjo Paterson Inn we were greeted by two lovely receptionists. I'm afraid that's where the pleasentries stopped.
Wait staff, kitchen staff, bar staff all have terrible attitudes and definitely aren't deserving of a customer service role. I lost count of the amount of times staff rolled their eyes when asked questions from paying guests, heaven forbid they actually have to speak to another human being.
It's a shame because the room me and my friends stayed in was lovely, the view was beautiful and the location is perfect.
Would not recommend to a friend (or an enemy)

Waited an hour for my dinner because they were very busy (they said it would only take 20mins). Went to see whether they forgot and as I came to look they took my 'hot pot' meal out of the microwave and chucked it onto the plate. It was cold when I stuck my fork in it but no use in complaining because they closed the kitchen as soon as they put the food on the plate. The only reason for the two stars is that this was the second night there and on the first night the food was acceptable...it is a pub after all.

The showers were amazing as was the breakfast. Highly recommend you get the brekky thrown in.
Not fancy but is great for what it is

User

Great place for a meal and a drink! The food was great. Haven't been for a while though.

Great fresh beer from the brewery in the premises. Locals & tourists like the place any day of the week with a great free shuttle service at night to save you walking to you accommodation.
