Take home messages from this event Domestic and family violence continues to be a significant epidemic in our community ... Working in the space for over 20 years, I thought I have a clear understanding of the impact of domestic and family violence on women and their children but after today’s presentation at the launch, I yet still need to learn more about impacts of domestic violence , especially when one of the speakers highlighted one of the long term health impact on victims, 2 in 3 Women are at risk of developing Dementia as opposed to 1 in 6 men developing dementia
