Since the brigade was established in December 1939, Volunteers from Bargo Volunteer Rural Fire Brigade have responded to countless calls for help from generation to generation.

The Bargo Brigade members are committed to giving professional help, from emergency call outs ranging from very variable extreme circumstances, to fire safety and prevention.

All Fire Fighters in the brigade are volunteers from and around the township of Bargo. Membership is made up of Operational and Support Members filled by Men and Women from different walks of life. Retirees, Engineers, Students, Tradesmen, Stay at home Parents, Guards are just a small sample of the volunteers in the brigade.
