We did a trek up to the lighthouse with my wife and 8 and 5 year old daughter. Great little hike with the kuddies. Bonus is you can hit the beach after the hike to cool off.

Amazing view at the lighthouse. The walk is a little tough though, but not too long. Recommend to go up using the Grade 2 track, then back down using the Grade 3 track. There's also a 200m walk on the beach to reach the track.
Parking is $6 per hour, or $25 all day.

The beaches and views that come before that lighthouse already make the trip worth it. The history of the light house is rather simple but still worth the tour. The view is really something of significant beauty. The walk to the light house is moderately difficult but very short, and there is a good amount to explore once you are up there.

Place is awesome. Do a grade 2 trek to lighthouse. Up there you will feel refreshing. Lay down on a rock and have beautiful view.

User

Beautiful location. Come mid week to avoid the crowds. Steps are steep so take the alternative route if you want to save your knees!

User

Amazing location. The views are great from the lighthouse looking back inland.

User

Nice walk up to the top with the other thousand tourists, who knew a lighthouse was so popular...nice view though

You can get on the top of lighthouse in about 25 minutes or less. And this is also a kids friendly walk (dont take the smuggler’s path if with kids). In the way up you will find a lot of spots to take pictures.Once on top you can either check out the lighthouses (on Sundays only) or do Whale watching .You will be lucky to see some nice glimpses of whales and more better if you have small binoculars .
Please note there are no toilets or water available on the way up or at the top.

A fitness junkie's must visit spot. I recommend a jog up hill and then way down via smuggler's route.! Don't forget to sitback and enjoy the relaxing view of the beach and backwaters seperated by a lollipop shaped land mass.

Great walk to the top, stunning views, car parking is expensive but unfortunately that's Sydney for you, so keep a track of time or you will get a ticket, they circle it like vultures waiting for someone to go over their limit, aside from that I can't rate it below 5 stars as the natural beauty of the place is unparalleled in Sydney. Well worth the walk, also keep an eye out for whales.

User

An absolutely breathtaking view from up here. Plenty of nooks and crannies in the cliffs and pick your seat to a slice of heaven. Well worth a visit.

User

Unfortunately, I could not step inside the lighthouse because it was off-hours for the tour. However, the 20 minute hike is still worth the trip. Make sure you walk past the lighthouse and onto the trails to get an amazing view of the ocean and beaches from up high.

User

Loved the views, be sure to sit on the cliffs. I'd suggest strolling up and taking the Smuggler's track for descent. May - Oct is best for whale watching!

User

A fairly easy hike with amazing views along the way. The easy trail has better views of the peninsula while the harder trail has more shade until mid-day. Similar view to West Head, but easier to get to and no park entrance fee.
