John teaches his students the basics and complexities to pass their P1 driving test and beyond as "Driving is for Life".

John the owner of Bartz Driving School has over 25 years of driving experience in a variety of disciplines. This includes heavy vehicles and motor sports such as circuit racing and rallying. With all this experience, not only can John teach his students the basics to pass their P1 driving test, but also incorporate defensive driving techniques as part of the tuition.

David, joined Bartz Driving School as an Instructor in July 2015, who we have worked with as a driving instructor in the past and fits in well with the team. He has his own automatic and manual vehicles and works alongside John in maintaining a high standard in learner Driving Education.

Our vehicles are less than 5 years old and are maintained to the highest standard. We have both automatic and manual vehicles that are fitted with FULL dual controls for the safety of our students and to make the learning process of driving a car less stressful.

Bartz Driving School philosophy is simple…”treat each student like he /she is your own son /daughter” and “you only fail if you give up”. Learning with Bartz Driving School will set the learner driver up with the skills and knowledge to be a responsible and safe driver on our roads. Bartz Driving School teaches the skills for life, not just a test! Our standards are higher than the RMS test requirements.

The driving lesson is fully structured to help the students gain as much knowledge throughout the hour at a relaxed pace. All students are given an individual record card and information sheet, so their progress can be recorded. John & David are always willing to talk to parents /caregivers about the progress which has been made and tips on helping the learner driver be safe and comfortable behind the wheel.

We encourage supervising drivers involvement. By this we mean, coming along on a lesson when the learner driver feels competent and is capable of driving a vehicle without dual controls in traffic. During this lesson, you will be seated in the back seat and watch how John & David teach the learner driver about low risk driving, hazard perception and lifesaving visual skills. You will soon realise that gaining the P1 licence is more involved than just a quick drive around the block as it was 30 years ago.
