Food serving here is generous, I ordered a tasting plate and it would feed a family!

Ambient here is very nice because the building used to be a church, it is very special having a drink inside of an old church that’s been done up.

Services by the waitress and waiter are exceptional.

The beer is always good at this place. Service could be a bit faster though. Amazing building.

I went around 2pm for a late lunch, and it was pleasantly quiet. And for that, we technically had the place to ourselves. The gentleman who served us was amazingly helpful and funny, which I unfortunately wasn't able to catch his name.

As seen in previous ratings, their food is absolutely delicious, and as a German restaurant, there was a lot of meat on the platters we ordered. The perfect amount for the 6 of us to share from.

All in all, service was great, food was bliss and the beer was amazing as well.
I rate 8/8

This restaurant never disappoints. The menu is great and huge servings too, so sharing platters are a great idea. They have a great range of beers and even ones for the ladies. Great atmosphere and set in an old church so there's lot to look at and take photos of too. This restaurant is great for big parties and get togethers. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

A bit squishy for seating, particularly if you're on the bench seats near the male bathrooms and the waiters counter.
However, they had an amazing accordionist playing polkas and teaching us songs to sing a long. A really great dining experience.

Food is always delicious. Service isn't always the best. Location is convenient and the building/furnishings is great (old church).

Huge fall from greatness! Been two years since I was last there and whatever happened since has sent this place backwards. Food was below par at best...dry pork knuckle, soggy pork belly crackling, gluggy mashed potatoes. And how have they managed to make the pretzels flavourless? Coupled with a generic atmosphere (where's the themed music and accordian player? It's Oktoberfest for God's sake!) and poor service even though it was early and it's gone from favourite to a must-avoid. And bring back the beer flights!

Fri, Sat nights are very busy, but food is very good. Steins are reasonably priced. Make sure you have some kind of transport to get home, Parramatta late at night can be a challenge to get out of unless you get the train.

I always have a good time here as it is so different to anything else! Great for mixed groups of people and staff are friendly and hospitable. Cocktails are great and love the mini beers!! Don't forget to try a pretzel!

Friday night family dinner and the food was excellent. Everything was hot and tasty. The service very attentive and effecient!

We order the large platter that was designed for two or more people to share between a family of four and it was more than enough!

Love love their sausages and the pork knuckle was also great but perhaps a little too salty but still didn't stop us devouring it! My son loved the sweet potato chips!

Will definitely make this place a regular for us!

User

Awesome place for a quick drink or snack, or lots of drinks and a full banquet of European food. Being in an old church does give it the beer hall feel.

User

Excellent food, good beer, staff were a bit inattentive but they were busy, the building is huge it's in what used to be a church it's pretty cool.

User

Awesome food and beer, poor service. Trying to make a group booking was arduous, the bar staff were uninterested on the whole except for 1 guy who was great. The waiter we had was good,. It overall the level of service detracted from what could otherwise be an awesome experience.

One of the better locations, good choice of food and drinks, good for a quiet drink during the day and a bit rowdier at night. Meal specials each day are great.
