Tucked beneath the heritage warehouses on the northern approach to the harbour bridge fronting a cool Melbourne-like laneway, Bay Ten Espresso offers the ultimate fusion experience for devotees of the bean and the bike.

The arrival of the uber-cool espresso bar with its raw recycled fit-out has transformed Middlemiss Street, Lavender Bay, offering a must stop for the thousands of walking and cycling commuters who pass each morning. Barista and owner Nathan Devlin shares the warehouse with The Body Mechanic, a specialist bike fit, gait analysis and physio outfit run by a bunch of elite athletes that caters to a growing band of serious urban athletes.

It’s a stunning location with the century-old concrete walls soaring 10 metres from floor to ceiling and a dramatic expanse of window wall that scatters the morning light.

The credo at Bay Ten is about striving for the best and doing it with energy and passion. No half-measures. We’ve sourced the best beans, the best roast and put it in a cup for the best coffee of your life. Beans come from Sutherland’s White Horse Coffee, roasting our own special blend to deliver espresso, cold drip, pour over and syphon brew.

Knowing the importance of fuelling an endurance athlete and the cycle /walk /run to work crowd, Bay Ten’s food offering is all about quality and goodness. Farm gate to plate, fresh produce will notch up only a few food kilometres, coming from an organic farm in Ingleside that supplies just a limited few outlets. Pastries and breads are from the kitchens of Luxe Bakery.

Middlemiss Street is the main cycleway that links the hub of North Sydney to the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Cyclists need look no further than their ‘one-stop shop’ before hitting the city for their bike, body and caffeine needs.
