The BCA National Academy of Sport are pleased to announce a partnership with AFL Northern Territory and the Northern Territory Football League.
The Partnership will see BCA National Academy of Sport undertake a round take over at TIO Stadium this weekend, December 1, 2 and 3 2017 as a way to increase synergies between sports participation and sports education.
As a highly regarded registered training organisation and consulting company, BCA National offer quality vocational e...ducation in a number of areas.
Of particular interest to AFL Northern Territory and their various teams and programs is BCA National’s focus on providing educational opportunities for aspiring, current and former athletes – though participation in their Sport Development Diploma.
The Diploma is being rolled out in the Northern Territory in 2018 and is the perfect vehicle for young adults to gain some sports industry recognised qualifications which sees them equipped for a variety of industry roles into the future.
BCA National is committed to the idea that knowledge creates a future for individuals, communities and organisations, giving people the skills, knowledge and confidence to compete in the international job market.
As the Academy provides education opportunities to pre-elite athletes as a component of a holistic program that creates not only better athletes, but better people, in line with the goals of AFL Northern Territory programs.
AFL Northern Territory Chief Operating Officer Stuart Totham is passionate about the role of education in supporting and fostering the best of football program participants.
“One of the many aspects of our programs and academies here sees our participants engaged in education and study or gainful employment to be able to participate at any level,” Totham said.
“Partnering with BCA National, leaders in their field, allows our staff to offer, alongside BCA, a sports specific education program to our participants, in line with our ethos and promoting further learning”.
Bruce Callaghan, Chairman of the Board of BCA National said the partnership with AFL Northern Territory was a good example of the way sporting groups and business can work with educators to develop industry skills for the future.
“The AFL Northern Territory partnership means that young people who are affiliated with Football can take a course that will equip them to work in the sport and recreation industry,” Callaghan said.
“The course links directly with universities, students can develop course credits with Universities while studying in an environment that they enjoy”.
The new partnership will provide both financial and in-kind support for AFL Northern Territory from BCA National, while AFL Northern Territory will collaborate with BCA National to ensure its athletes receive important vocational training opportunities.
The BCA National themed round commences on Friday night under lights at TIO Stadium when Southern Districts take on Waratah at 7pm.

The BCA National Academy of Sport are proud to be partnering with the Wests Tigers as a Corporate Partner and Education provider. This partnership will see the Academy of Sport teaming up with the Tigers to provide educational and employment opportunities.
Wests Tigers Chief Operating Officer Ryan Webb said that the new partnership will be beneficial for both parties.
“It’s great to be able to partner with an organisation like BCA National that can provide great educational o...pportunities,” said Webb. “We look forward to not only promoting BCA National’s programs and assisting their students but also providing additional opportunities for Wests Tigers players and staff.”

Terrible communication and Organization. It has been up to me since i first made contact with the Co ordinator to sign up to a Diploma to initiate all communication. My calls are never returned, nor are my moodle messages. I have had much better experiences through previous study institutions and will be withdrawing and going else where.
