At Bravehearts, we understand that chronic loneliness, disconnection and not being able to really be heard leads to all manner of mental illness, including never-ending spirals of anxiety and depression, even leading to suicide. The daily struggle is real: Feeling lost and alone, no one to talk to, scared of voicing what's going on in your head, and embarrassed to even broach the simplest of topics for fear of judgement and ridicule. At Bravehearts, our mission is to let people be heard! We provide a local mental health support system by ‘holding space' with heart-felt intent so you can truly be seen and heard. Our collective spaces allow everyone to reconnect, open up, share their fears, unburden themselves and re-imagine a beautiful world free of loneliness, anxiety and depression. Bravehearts also offers one-on-one opportunities for you to be heard. Our dial-a-friend support line allows you to connect with a friend or mate; someone you can rely on and talk to about anything, particularly when times get tough. Our Bravehearts Guides are inspiring individuals who have overcome their own demons, stopped playing the victim and let go of their crap. They are extremely passionate in supporting you on your journey and provide the opportunity for you to challenge your thinking, transform your life and gain the courage to be yourself. While most of our Guides are not counsellors, healthcare or mental health professionals, their support will complement any mental health treatment you may be getting.
