Connecting you to us, Karyn and Carissa, and sharing what we do for and around our farm, Benmar Farm.

Our root passion is milk. We see ourselves as viticulturists of milk. To make an exceptional wine, the winemaker must have exceptional grape juice to begin with, the same can be said for milk.

Just like there are different types of grapes to begin with, so there are different types of cattle breeds. Different soils and farming methods produce different qualities in those grapes, for us it's the forage that the animals consume. We nurture the cattle, they then create an exceptional milk. That milk is then available to create an exceptional 'wine'. Be it bottled milk, yoghurt, cheese, ice cream and /or gelato (Karyn's favourite! ) or something else.

Using an integrated system, we look to create a harmonious relationship among the various species of livestock, land and people. Beginning with chickens, we can then develop and expand into more variety as to the capabilities of the farm and its people, such as other livestock species, vegetable and fruit production, education and experience for others, etc.
