Reinhard and Andrew are the Original ‘Diesel Gurus’ specialising in the ‘Black Art’ of diesel fuel injection and are recognised world wide among the 4WD community for their unique skills. They specialise in all aspects of 4WD diesel fuel injection including injector servicing, fuel pumps, and turbo charging.

A Message to Toyota Australia
Please cease making a mess of our Diesel 4WD scene.
You have caused massive angst and stress to owners of your new DPF equipped Diesels.
... You are breaking Australian law with every new 2.8 Diesel that you sell with this fault of white smoke pouring out the back of them.
You have made a bad mess worse by forcing owners of their DPF equipped Toyota Diesels to 'pull over and have a cigarette' for 45 minutes while their new Pride and Joy Toyota does a DPF clean by the side of the road.
(Quote- your words on the new warning label in your 'revised' 2.8 Hilux and Prado).
Please go back to the drawing board and fix your engineering design mess. We are sick and tired of explaining to your customers, that own Toyota, whats going on.
Your dealerships are crying from the mess you're making of their previously happy customers.
PS- Also.... please tell your Law firm, Clayton Utz Lawyers, to stop threatening and suing the auto industry that actually looks after your product and your customers. Yes the industry is very aware of the 'blood money' you have extorted from many reputable brands that we know.

Blown Turbo?
This sound has caused many a new turbo replacement when, in fact, it's actually only a leaking exhaust manifold gasket.
Clearance has opened up between the exhaust manifold and the cylinder head it bolts to. The steel exhaust gasket is being vibrated badly as exhaust gases squeeze past this gap.
... Who watched 'Skippy the Bush Kangaroo'? Well think of Sonny (Skippy's mate) getting the Gum leaf and blowing it between his lips and it made a loud whistle. Same thing happening to the exhaust gasket in this case.
The Nissan Patrol 3 litre CRDi runs exhaust gas temperatures as high as 700'C under continued load. That's the standard for this engine. Keep this up with a caravan on the back and eventually you'll end up with this noise from a warped exhaust manifold and leaking gasket.
We have had many a customer tell us stories of Turbo replacment yet underneath all this noise is just an exhaust leak and maybe a warped manifold.
Correct Diagnosis can save thousands and in this instance many thousands.
How do you prevent this happening to your Nissan Patrol 3 litre CRDi? - At the least of the repairs... you can fit a larger exhaust to get rid of the heat building up quicker. It won't make a huge difference to the maximum EGTS but you know it's at least getting rid of things quicker.
The only other way you'll get rid of this standard high combustion heat is to cool things down with air... and lots of it.
This Rig is in for some major upgrades to fix the exhaust manifold leak and to also permanently fix this issue of high temperature exhaust gases:- - Fix the leak. New manifold and gaskets for this case. - Installing a Gturbo so we can safely raise the boost level and get more air in. More boost means higher Turbo wheel speeds and for this alone you'll need a stronger turbo. - Installing a HPD larger replacement Intercooler. - Installing a Taipan 3" Mandrel Bent exhaust system.
And when it's all set and ready to go a DPCHIP-X so we can control the boost correctly and make use of all these mods listed. Without correct tuning the rest is a waste of money.
Total build cost for ALL these goodies? There won't be much change out of around $9800 for this job.
