About the Principal, Joanne BerrimanJoanne has experience in conducting neuropsychological assessments on children, young people and adults with a range of neurodevelopmental issues, including Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning disorders, intellectual disabilities, complex trauma, attachment disorders, genetic disorders, and other neurodevelopmental disorders. Joanne assesses people who are having difficulties with aspects of learning, attention, memory and planning and organisational skills. Joanne commenced working as a Clinical Neuropsychology Registrar in 2017 in a private practice on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Joanne also worked at Royal Far West, Manly, as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing cognitive assessments and behavioural interventions for children, identifying the emotional and practical needs of the immediate family, and finding the appropriate referral pathway if required. Joanne also works with a team of psychologists in a private practice in Western Sydney, providing cognitive assessments for children, adolescents and adults. Joanne also provides assessments for the NSW Department of Family and Community Services, Juvenile Justice NSW and to Registered NDIS support providers to assist in NDIS applications and client management, including assessments to accompany NESA applications for students sitting their Higher School Certificate. Prior to working as a Clinical Neuropsychologist, Joanne was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, predominantly in NSW Hospital Emergency Departments and mental health settings.
