Bilpin Apple Pie, Cottage Orchard Caffe

Fantastic real apple pie, you won't find anything like it in the city. Coffee also better than in most "trendy" cafes in the city - Happy that we stopped by!

Fabulous pies and awesome view! Best stop over in the mountains. Vegan options as well. Coffee was served with and very friendly. Can't wait to come again.

Welcome change from city dining. Down to earth staff, real people, real food. Apple pie crust was crunchy and perfect texture. Apple tastes like the real deal and the true flavour of the fruit shines through. No ice cream for us as the taste was good enough on its own.

I don't know what these over-sensitive types are on about. The coffee is good - very good. You think you know coffee? Most people do but they'll enjoy it at Michelle's P. The pie was nice and I did get it with ice cream. It's an optional extra. The shop was a welcome change from the places where the swill people charge for they call coffee. The pastry was fresh and made on premises. It's also got a killer view and outdoor seating.

The owner is a rude angry man. I've read several reviews supporting this. When asked what pies were available he grumbled a response along the lines of "you can have whatever I've got left in the fridge". This guy needs to realise that he will keep getting one-star reviews as long as he acts the way he does. I overheard him whinging to a customer about another customer for asking questions about menu items. Come on mate, you rely on tourists for a living, give them a break!

The pie base was soggy and lacked flavour. The only positive is the view out the back.

I'd stop elsewhere for a pie next time, there are a few other places to choose from.
