Nice variety of produce and products here. Prices for some products are higher than across the road for the same thing, so beware, but the pies etc look good.

User

Unpleasant experience. Their address points to store to sell stuff. The actual farm is somewherre else and folks in store are too busy to give right direction. Was with my parents and has been a wasted day...

User

Staff in the shop are really dumb and slow... In my humble opinion their parents been relatives... And parents of their parents been relatives too.

I stopped in here yesterday (Saturday 05/08/2017) on my return trip from Lithgow to the Gold Coast to get some apples for the people who helped me here at home whilst I was away. The produce is so fresh and crispy (just like it used to be when I was a kid 40+ years ago) and the apple pies are to die for, in fact I told the beautiful lady who made them that I wanted to marry her so I could live on her apple pies (was told to ask her husband who is bigger than me, hence I am still single). The girls who were on the counter were so friendly and sweet, and when I asked for a box to replace the bag the apples were in, they supplied me with one, and I noticed on my return to home they had even written "Have a Safe Trip" on the box. I would suggest that everyone passing, even if you don't like apples drop in there and just have a drink with the happiest, friendliest, most welcoming family operated business possibly in all of Australia.
PS - I hope your brother is feeling much better today.

Our experience with fruit picking was awesome. I don't know about others, but the staff are really nice and there was plenty of fruit to pick from. Can't forget about the succulent apple pies they served too. we recommend anyone who wish to go there.

User

Been there once, Bought fruit that was sold as "Fresh" it then proceeded to rot within 24hrs. i have apple trees and i pick them and they last atleast a week.
Also got an apple pie but it was bland and tasteless.
Overall a horrible experience NOT reccomended, dont wast your time or $$ there are better places on Bells Rd to go.

User

Very unpleasant experience and a day gone waste!!!!The website said it closes at 5 pm and only after reaching there we could find a board saying it will close at 4.The lady at the entry was very rude to approach, not even allowing us to enter at 3.30pm.All the way of travel for 60kms was in vain.People at the shop was disgusting.why do they want to keep it open if they are unwilling to let us in????? The place is not at all reccomended for fruit picking from our experience.JUST HOPELESS!!!

User

Very bad experience for me for picking fruits up there.there is 2place one is shop and another one is fruit picking firm.i went there at 5pm on 12/03/2018.we followed the website and it says bilpin fruit bowls is open till 5:30pm.so when we parked our car first we get into shop and we thought we can go through shop.we asked one of the staff that we want to pick some fruits and take some photos.the staff in the shop suggested that go to the field and u may see some people to assist us.but once we got in there we didn't see any of them but at the front we found sign that said place open till 4pm but website said 5:30pm that's why we thought we may make it.so curiously we got in and by the way we traveled all the way from Sydney.when we got in we found another sign it says $2.50 p/p entry and picking apple $3 there were eggplant tomatoes etc but I can't remember what was price.our intention was we take some photos and we may buy couple of kilos apple but we could not find any of them to ask and we assumed we may have to leave the money on the counter.we picked hardly 1.5kg apple some of them we ate so it may be let's say 3kg.whenever we came out from the field one lady came out and started screaming and demanding money that we came here to steal.however another lady joined her and demanded $40.we were 9 so $22.5 and rest of them for the Apple.i told her u count how much we took.i will pay for it.she said u also ate so I don't know how much u ate.so not u must have to pay $40 with very rude way.i never been this situation so I paid the money with penalties.suggest not to go there.thanks

Apple Picking season has now officially started for NSW . The sad part about this for the apple growers is that the market has already told growers to stop sending new season apples to the market as there is still a lot of old season stuff around. You should be able to buy new season Royal gala apples in the shops now, but I highly doubt that you will be able to find them as the major supermarkets will not stock them until all their old produce is gone. The apples you are buying now are up to 9 months old.
The only way you can get the beautiful apples is to go and Pick your Own. So support all the Aussie apple growers this Australia Day weekend and go pick some apples.
Our apples this weekend will be $5.00/kg. Hope to see you over the long weekend. We will be open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm each day.
