BKA Architecture is an established studio with a reputation for creating outstanding architecture. With a team of around 30 design professionals, our focus includes all types and scale of residential, educational and commercial projects. Alongside good architecture, BKA is passionate about sustainable design and is committed to gender equality in architecture.

Led by directors John Baker and John Kavanagh, BKA has studios in Sydney, Newcastle and Byron Bay, as well as an associated office in China. We work across all types and scales of architecture, with a proven track record creating high quality residential buildings. Our educational projects are focused on integrating the latest innovations in teaching and learning environments. And our public architecture projects are inspirational, tailored to the specific needs of the community.
