Spent a good day up here, hiked along the escarpment path, seeing many cockatoos that best along the cliffs and it took us to the three sisters.
Be prepared for alot of bushland views. Try not to fall off any cliffs. Water was low but not low enough
A must do experience if you visit Sydney and the surrounding areas. It's world heritage listed for a reason. Although if you're not into steep walks don't traverse down because it's quite a workout to walk back up again.
Great tourist park. Beautifully maintained. Gorgeous peaceful setting. Very efficient & friendly managers. Would highly recommend. These were our morning visitors.
Beautiful cliffs and canyons covered in non-tropical rainforest. Many hikes and scenic viewpoints. It can be a bit touristy in some places, but at least this means that public facilities are in good condition.
One of the most incredibly beautiful parts of the world you'll ever likely see. Take some time to get off the beaten track and enjoy it for what it really is, untamed wilderness. For any Australian that grew up surrounded by bush, the sounds up here will take you back in time.
Stunning. Definitely worth visiting. Amazing walks, scenery, picnic spots and waterfalls! Wouldn't call them mountains though.
Great for a day bushwalk or over night camp. It's places like this that have made me a big outdoors fan! Talking from personal experience, just make sure you take a map and plenty of water and be aware of sunset time as mobile phone coverage is very limited!
Loved the Leura Cascades. Ate our picnic dinner at the falls - delightful, scenic spot. Refreshing and invigorating to be in the national park.
Always love a walk int he blue mountains. This was a really nice walk too. A 2km fire trail with a lookout at the end. it can be deceiving though. There is an area that appears to be the end where the volunteer fire service trucks would turn around to head back, but if you walk a little further (about 20m) beyond this point you'll come to an awesome lookout area. The trail is at the back right of the turn around area.
Beautiful and well marked walking tracks and a couple of unmarked gems to find too. Great camping area with loos. The gates do get locked over night, so check the closing time as you drive in.
Waterfall or Waterrise?
