Body Basics Health and Fitness is a premium independently owned health club and specialist fitness center located in Queanbeyan East, NSW, servicing the Queanbeyan community with staff available to help you in your health and fitness journey. The services we offer over three levels of 1200m2 include group fitness classes from Les Mills classes to Boxing, Functional Training, Seniors, Indoor Cycling (RPM), Stretching, Yoga and Fitness on Demand (virtual group fitness), weight training area, cardio training area, strength and conditioning, heavy lifting room with boxing bags, personal training, nutrition advice, injury rehabilitation training, as well as catering for individuals on NDIS and school groups. Although we are located in Queanbeyan East, we service clients from Jerrabomberra, Bungendore, Braidwood and all over Canberra. If you are looking for the best gym in Queanbeyan, look no further.

In a word this is DISGUSTING. We're happy for members to use chalk when they lift but please clean up after yourself. To the member who made this mess we will be checking the cameras tomorrow and be contacting you to find out why you could not be bothered cleaning this up.

Are you an early morning exerciser? Did you know doing things first thing in the morning helps you to achieve your goals faster? Whether you are aware of it or not, committing to something that requires sacrifice (getting out of your warm bed on a chilly morning to exercise) creates a solid argument in your mind that says, “it better be worth it!”.

PEOPLE ALWAYS comment that a gym membership is too ‘expensive’…???
Hmmmm let me see 🤔
* iPhones are expensive and so is my internet bill... * Workout gear and haircuts are expensive * Every time I walk into Woolworths for "one thing" ($200 later) it's expensive * Fast food and take away coffees are expensive * Clothes and shoes are expensive. * Dinner out, a bottle of wine (or two) or a night at the movies is expensive * The non-essential things we buy our children are expensive * Netflix, Stan and Foxtel are expensive
We find money for all these things but none of them profoundly impact how we feel about our health and wellness.
So my answer to this question is ‘NO’ a gym membership is NOT ‘expensive’. It simply requires that you to commit to; Regular visits 2 - 3 times per week for 30 to 60 minutes Commitment With the added bonus of feeling, breathing and moving better with less stress.
You need to remember that this is an INSTEAD OF COST rather than an ADDED COST to your monthly expenditure.
The question really isn’t ‘what does it cost?’ instead it should be ‘what will you save?’ Because you WILL save money on your health care needs and visits to the doctor.
More importantly, you will also be saving your HEALTH… and seriously what price do you put on that?
Bottom line is, are you worth it…?

How hard is it to unload your bar and put the plates and bar away when your finished?? Not hard at all. Please remember to put your weights away. It reduces the chance of someone injurying themselves and makes it easier for all members to enjoy all equipment.

PERSONAL TRAINER PROFILE Julian is co-owner of Body Basics and has over 25 years fitness and health industry experience. Julian has a passion for helping people to become more active and adopting healthy lifestyle behaviours. Julian has been a personal trainer for over 20 years and is an advance skills teacher at the Canberra Institute of Technology in the area of Sport and Fitness. Julian is the club dietitian who specialises in sports nutrition, nutrition for physique athletes, weight loss, food allergies and intolerances and healthy eating.
