Lovely food. Very good wait staff. Attentive without being overbearing. You pay for what you get.

Been going here for years. A comfortable place with open fireplace. Some reviews give this place a low rating, I disagree. The dishes are all great but with all great food, there is a wait. Nothing unreasonable in waiting times.

Arrived at 630 Saturday night for a booking. Passable service despite being a little less attentive than I would like.
Ordered olives and noodles for kids (which kids liked and we're very tasty) adults ordered duck confit and 48 hours cooked short ribs. This is when the experience started to go down hill.
Another 15mins after kids meal arrived adults mains came.
The duck was very tasty however one of the "48 hour" ribs was maybe more like 4 hours as was raw in the middle!
After alerting the waitress she apologised and said would let kitchen know.
Kids had a gelato which they enjoyed.
Husband then ordered chocolate pudding and after waiting 15minutes waiter apologised that there had been a problem cooking the pudding so they were making another.
Another 15mins later pudding arrived. It was nice, however, it now being 830 kids were ready to leave.
We asked for the bill which we had to take up to pay and no apologies.
The chef came out to check on the meal and said I heard you had a problem with the ribs. After we verified that he had seen them come back to kitchen​ rather than apologise his answer was "I'm not sure what went wrong, they all came from the same batch" hmm not exactly the response we expected....
I also pointed out the extra time to wait for dessert but still not much of an apology.
A token offer of at least making the dessert free or coffee or anything is pretty customary in similar situations.
Left a bad taste in our mouth and wouldn't recommend or return.
Disappointing...

Came on Anzac day, food was nice, staff were friendly and location is great looking out of the French doors to the garden.

Wonderful little place we found for dinner in Leura. Sat in the bar area. Kids enjoyed burger and fish and chips which were​ okay. Seared kangaroo dish was excellent. Nice wine list. Friendly service if a bit slow.
