It was a nice camping site though. I have a bad memory there because of my poor preparation.

We enjoyed it quite a lot ... the camping site is very close to the beach and the ocean which is amazing !!! Booking is necessary and can be done on their webpage very easily. You have quite a lot of space for different kinds of camping which makes it suitable for everyone. Not that it was important for us but there are not pets allowed due to the wildlife.. be aware that birds can get quite annoying and come very close - they like cars pretty much ...

For people who are into hygienic lavatories- this might not be the best camping site for you.

Had a lovely stay ... 💛

The price was a lot for a tent space with no amenities ($38), but it was really quiet with barely anyone around. Plus, we had a great view of the beach with a nice skyline. It was totally worth it, and we will definitely go back!

Nice place. Facilities are basic but in good working order. Needs fireplaces for the complete camping experience

Spent two nights here in August 2017. Was my first time out camping on my own and I chose Bonnie Vale because it was supposed to be good for beginners. It was!

Absolutely beautiful location in the Royal National Park. Plenty of good spots to pitch a tent (or trailer). Close to the beach. Lots of wildlife - I spotted cockatoos, kookaburras, ducks, lorikeets and ibises over breakfast without even moving. The bathroom facilities were good enough - they had warm water and power points available. The BBQs seemed to be popular and working. Will definitely come back

Beautiful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city for the weekends. Quiet and relaxing just enjoy a peaceful walk. You can bring the kids here too.

It was awesome me and my kids cousins went swimming and yeah it was so much fun

User

Great facility with hot shower. You can also hire kayak or standing padle board nearby.

User

A beautiful place, and you can drive straight up to your campsite. The facilities are good too. The only issue was our allotted campsite wasn't level and was quite rocky making it hard to get tent pegs in.

Great spot. Lovely Outlook. Clean facilities.

Great location (only 1.5 hr drive from the city), well maintained facilities, but the place is lacking security, so camp at your own risk.

This site is a favorite among the free riders who don't bother paying for the spot. They will sneak into your patch and set up the tent hoping you won't confront them. The problem is that if you don't ask them out, you risk having a loud neighbor making the most of their alcohol supply. And if you do ask them out, they remember where you parked...

The local rangers don't do their job properly and at times scared to confront the free riders. So don't rely on them.

Pros: great location near the beach, well maintained facilities (BBQ, showers)

Cons: overpriced for the level of security it offers (rangers don't patrol the area), favorite place amongst free riders who are of questionable character and can potentially ruin your camping experience
