BOOLAROO SPEERS POINT COMMUNITY KINDERGARTEN INC

We are a community based Preschool catering for children aged 3-6 years of age.

Boolaroo-Speers Point Community Kindergarten Incorporated is a not for profit, community based preschool. Our service is licensed for 38 children each day, ranging in ages 3-6 years. We operate during school terms from 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday.

Hours:
Most children attend between 9am-3pm and your fees are charged for this period. Extended hours of care are available for families from 8-9am and 3-4pm.

Fees:
Cost $13 - $34 per day for hours 9am-3pm.
Extra fees for extended hours.
We are closed for all Public Holidays and School Holidays. Fees are not payable during these times.

Staff:
Our teaching staff are fully trained, and committed to providing a high quality program for your child.
Correct staff to child ratios of 1: 10 are maintained at all times. We employ eight staff across the week with a variety of qualifications that exceed the expectations of the National Quality Standards and Regulations.
All primary contact educators hold a current First Aid Certificate including qualifications in the management of asthma and anaphylaxis.

Our Program:
Your child will engage in a wide selection of developmentally appropriate and interest based activities during their time at preschool. Our program is based on the Early Years Learning Framework and is driven by our observations of children.
Outdoor activities include; bikes, obstacle course, swings, climbing equipment, water play, sandpit play, gardening, etc.
Indoor activities include; block and construction play, puzzles, playdough, craft and painting, cognitive activities, home corner, quiet corner, multicultural area, literacy area and taking care of our pet frog and birds.

Story Groups:
Children are divided into four groups for story time which occur once a day for 20-30 minutes.

Music Groups:
Throughout their day, children also participate in a 20-30 minute music and movement lesson.

Transition to School Program:
Our service has a comprehensive and successful transition to school program to help make the transition from home to 'Big School' a positive and happy experience for both children and families.
