Shortland Hotel Bistro is AMAZING!! Only 5mims from Jesmond, service is superb. Always so friendly & cheerful. My go-to place for a good old schnitty!

Bistro was a bit smelly, the salt and pepper squid was disgusting it seemed to be cooked in old oil. It was in inedible. We did have a burger as well that wasn't too bad.

Went for lunch. Food was average pub food, not even good pub food, just average. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice.
