Bridge undertakes consumer insights studies (primarily in-depth in-home visits) in developing and emerging markets for all FMCG categories. Utilizing the unmet needs identified from these studies, Bridge develops innovative but practical product solutions, based on our extensive technical knowledge & experience. Andrew Scrivener, the founder of Bridge, has worked in innovation and product development in the FMCG industry since 2000, with senior R& D roles at both multinationals (RB & Unilever) as well as a large domestic manufacturer (Pact Group Contract Manufacturing / Pascoe's). During his time at Pascoe's, Andrew facilitated the winning of a large amount of new private label & branded pest and air care business from the three major supermarkets as well as Bunnings. At RB (Mortein) Andrew established and managed the Global Pest Control Consumer Insights Program, with an emphasis on developing markets. This involved home visit studies in many developing markets (as well as Australia) and resulted in an increased emphasis on consumer-driven innovation to energise new product development. Andrew has the ability to combine creative and technically rigorous modes of thought, to develop products which are both innovative, but also practical, consumer preferred and affordable. He is the primary holder of 6 patents for innovative FMCG products.
