Broken Hill Basketball Stadium - R K Sanderson

Basketball in Broken Hill is played at the R. K. Sanderson Basketball Stadium Complex. The Broken Hill Basketball Association Inc (BHBA) was formed almost 60 years ago by a small group enthusiastic people willing enough to put a great deal of time and effort into a fledgling basketball association.

The first indoor stadium was built in 1972 by Peter Budini Builders, and was opened the same year by the Broken Hill Mayor at the time: Ald. Dial and Bob Sanderson, whom the present day complex is named after. The Broken Hill Basketball Association Inc have interstate trips to places such as Port Augusta, Whyalla, Adelaide, and Albury /Wodonga. The BHBA are enjoying a resurgence of popularity again and it is hoped that many more people will enjoy this great game in Broken Hill.
