Starting with the #antiquejapanesescreen as the key to colour, material and tone, this room was layered with luxurious textures to combat the clinical white of the original apartment. @tibetsydney rug with silk copper tones combined with linens silks and velvets from @southpacificfabrics @ascraft_textiles @boyac @senecatextiles The TV is hidden in a dark veneer joinery piece so the view out of the harbour stays the focal point. #brookeaitkendesign 📷 @generossphotography

Here is another just on the market which is a pretty, light-filled gem of an apartment in Elizabeth Bay. The building is a beautiful old lady and the fit-out was designed to complement the traditional nature of the property. It has given the owners years of joy but now's the time to put exciting new plans in place.

Sometimes things happen for a reason... the rug we ordered was made up a mountain and carried down the donkey trail after months of nervous waiting. When it finally got down the mountain it was nothing like the sample we had ordered for the room we had it in mind for. However things just sometimes work out - here it is in all its gorgeous splendour in a different room and it was meant to be! Such colourful gorgeousness from @kulchi rugs teamed with @fritzhansen and @bebitalia furniture for the beautifully colourful @martin_meredithv and family. And we all let out a sigh of relief!
