Refurbished pub in the heart of Brookie, simple pub grub and good selection of beers. The grub can be a bit hit & miss but you won't have a problem if you stick to the traditional fare. Staff are relaxed & friendly.

Took friends for lunch yesterday - first time since new renovation. Used to love the old dining room and the "cook your own steaks" and salad bar. This no longer exists. The new look is sterile in comparison, the food choice basic and more expensive - there are no longer any enticements or "specials". I ordered a parmesan crusted lamb cutlet meal and received a burnt veal chop, dry tasteless chips and a few pieces of lettuce with half a cherry tomato. When my husband complained he was refunded $1. I can't tell you how disappointed I was with the whole set-up. That's the last time we will be going and will now frequent the Great Northern in Chatswood instead which has retained its appeal and offerings. Bad, Bad, Bad!! Wake up Brooky and give the patrons what they have come to expect of what was, a GREAT hotel.
