Staff were very accommodating, massive portions and quick, friendly service. Topped off with good local beer (although a little pricey)

Really nice grill. Prices not too bad, personally loved the interior (dark, warm, cozy and you can look down at the grill while they're cooking).

I had the steak sandwich (open sandwich) which was top notch. A few beers on tap and a friendly vibe. Would definitely eat there again.

I had my long hrs Travel and very hungry, but when I arrived to Brumby Bar and Grill everything went awesome! I met a very nice staff and they also have good services and most of all they have very yummy food.

I will come back definitely!

We came here twice in one week. Great music brings back memories. A new chef was on and each time our food took a very long time to come out, but the ambience and available drinks were good and good value.

The trout fettuccine was outstanding, as was the open eye fillet steak sandwich and the kangaroo. I agree with another reviewer that the Caesar salad on the side was disappointing (lettuce leaf with croutons drowned in mayo). The kids carbonara was delicious.

Now the bread. We ordered a sourdough half-cob at $10 with herb butter. Fantastic. We ordered a second and it was underdone. In fact half of it was frozen solid. We sent it back and the third came back exactly the same. We gave up and bagged it for lunch the next day.

A great venue with excellent food choices. The owner was a pleasure to speak to. I just encourage the new chef to work on ensuring consistency and timely service.

Food is good, beer is good, staff are lovely. However food does take a little longer to get out. But I think there was a new chef on which might have caused some issues. Definitely give them a chance, but ask if the new chef is on :)

I had a great time here with my partner. The music and ambiance from the bar downstairs from the bistro was just right, the food was delicious and portion sizes were good, considering we'd spent the day skiing. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. There was an excellent selection of beers and cider on tap.

User

Nice atmosphere and waitress staff. Food is really disappointing. Steak was supposed to be medium-rare; came out blue and inedible. Chips were stone cold and the salad was a lettuce leaf with sauce on it. Could be great if the chef took a bit of pride in his work.

If you like school disco music this is the place to be! Not quite sure if this is usual at the venue. We just wanted a few beers after the snow and came into speakers pumping with hardly any people here. Shame - it has the potential to be a great place!

Fantastic food made with quality ingredients. Rapid and friendly service. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a beer and a steak.
