Like all Bunnings the staff are very helpful. Has a well stocked paint section, small plant section and a killer BBQ set up for the obligatory sausage sandwich.

Tip: There are better Bunnings for bulk/big item buying. Small stairs and slow lift make it harder here.

Store has a great selection of items. 9 times out of 10, the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and available to help. A few times though, I've had actively rude staff, more interested in chatting to work mates than serving customers. In a place as large as Bunnings though, that's inevitable, but it can still sour your experience.

Smaller Bunnings than ones in the suburbs but still has a good range. Does have some higher end hand tools but not the full range. Same Bunnings service with staff everywhere to answer your questions.

It is one of our favourite places to go retail therapy. Lots of interesting items to feed the creative imagination and to eschew boredom. Excellent!!!

Went in with a question and had a staff member guide me every step of the way to absolute completion. Went beyond what was asked of them to ensure the service was perfect and didn't inflate the price to match the time they invested in me. Very happy with the price point, very happy with the service level, very happy with the sausage sandwich afterwards.

Mostly friendly staff. Not as cheap as one would expect. Some products cannot be found there, except on other branches. It's the grownups toys-r-us so it's always fun to go there. Lots of parking, though parking access it not comfortable.

Bunnings is a multinational that has ruined hardware stores as we knew them. They are like a government Department. The staff know how to create nothing, just advise on child like projects. The stock is (unjustifiably) expensive, unavailable, un-orderable and mainly of poor quality- rubbish made in China. Now the WORST THING; if there isn't a part for what you want they cant improvise and they make it, like hardware stores use too and they don't care. The Western indoctrinated, unequal feminist ideology, has unfairly given 95% of Bunnings staff jobs to women, who mostly, and without prejudice, simply, naturally and factually have no genuine, real interest, ability nor enthusiasm in traditional and natural male roles, like manual labour, civil engineering and hardware ideas. Trying to get the attention of the aloof staff is almost impossible. But like all corporations, they will greet you with a disingenuous smile on the way in or out to make you feel as though you're the local hardware store from the 50's ...so their covered. What a joke. Overpriced and getting pricier. Imperial capitalism at its finest. I shop elsewhere for my hardware needs and I will not disclose where.

The staff service is poor when the shop is busy. However, the prices are "dirt cheap" e.g. $2 for a small gardening spade (metal with plastic handle), which is better and stronger than the plastic varieties normally taken to the beach/sandpit (buy them for your kids to enjoy). So if you know what you want, you can find it yourself and still enjoy shopping here.

Atrocious service. Must have been only about 3-4 customer service people in the entire store, so first problem was even finding one. When they are around they don't seem intent on helping people, preferring to do other little things than help the customers clearly in need of help.

Eventually I managed to speak to a service person, about looking to find a replacement for a particular item (which I had in my hand), rather than give me specific advice they just pointed to an area of similar items and indicated that this was their range. And walked off.

Looking for another item I didn't get helped at all. Went in looking to buy 6 items, came out with 2 of them, both of which I found myself.

I really don't know why I bothered going there. So much time wasted, for nothing.

Admittedly, this was a Sunday morning, but I don't think that is an excuse.

I'm not going to talk about the products and variety but my feedback is about the staff. It's always annoying to deal with sales people who have no knowledge about the products which they are selling and our experience with Bunnings was exactly the same.

We bought pine wood to make furniture and we wanted to stain it. It was our first time and we didn't have any past experience about what's best to use on pine.

We visited Artarmon Bunings to buy the paint and the staff seemed to have no knowledge about what paint to use on pine. We had watched couple of videos to have an idea about what we needed to buy but the staff didn't know any of the products. We were after wood conditioner which I don't know what they call it in AU but something to put on the soft wood for even absorption of paint. The first time the sales person told us that you don't need to put on anything on pine and directly put the stain on ( Everyone knows that staining pine without primer turns out blotchy but even when I mentioned that he said it's ok to use it directly on the wood and he suggested one of the worst possible type of stain which was spirit based (FeastWatson) , it dries fast and it has a concentrated RED based color)

Second time, I went there and told them the above experience and again no one knew what is the wood conditioner and what should be used on pine (even the person in the paint area was so old, I'm amazed that he also didn't know what to use on pine) !!

Overall, so disappointed with the sales rep's knowledge about the products and hopeless suggestions.

great service, always have plenty of people on duty to help you find the things you need.

large store but no room to navigate when it's busy. Cannot take a trolley into the tool section as it's cram packed and limited space. need a special trolley license to navigate the store with all the reversing, 3 point turns and avoiding everyone else and their trolley. Forget about getting any help from staff. If you do get help then it's ok as they know where things are but if you are just there to pickup small things then great but if need to purchase large items then expect a frustrating experience.
