Bunnings Chatswood

Large variety of supplies. Staff very helpful, low prices, and lots of parking.

It's a pretty standard Bunnings. Decent selection, friendly staff.

Huge range and great customer service! This is one of the biggest Bunnings in Sydney, with their stuff spread over 2 levels, and a fairly sizeable plants area as well. What really amazed me was the excellent customer service though: I had ordered a very large cantilever umbrella to be delivered to my house ($35). It arrived, and a small part was missing. I gave Bunnings Chatswood a call and spoke to the manager. He was hugely apologetic, had the missing part express-delivered to me the next morning, AND a $50 gift voucher added to the package! Wow! Now I'm a super-loyal customer :)

Bunnings staff are always friendly and helpful. They always seem to know where everything is; which is no mean feat considering the amount, and variety, of stock there is.

Great staff. I just feel sorry for them for having to greet every single person they walk past.

I love going to Bunnings at Chatswood. Lots of undercover parking and great variety of products. Always find what I am looking for and even more.

Went to my closest Bunnings (Artarmon) on the weekend to buy ducted A/C filter mat as advertised on the Bunnings website. A staff member advised they didn't stock it at Artarmon but confirmed on their system that there were 10 or so available at Chatswood. Went to the Chatswood store, walked around upstairs for a while to find a staff member. There appeared to be only two covering all of electrical through to paint. Waited behind a couple of other customers to talk to the guy in electrical. His first response was the (now somewhat familiar) "I don't normally work in this area". But he found the box I was after, only to find all it contained was two random pieces of pvc piping. He checked the system, saw that there should be that item in Chatswood but then advised they must still be in the warehouse, that no one works in the warehouse on the weekend and it's too disorganised for him to go in there.

I was nearby a few days later and went back to the electrical department. Still no stock on the shelves. Spoke to another staff member who confirmed their system was showing the items as being in stock but he also said that if stock has been ordered and invoiced by the supplier, the system will show it as in stock, with nothing to indicate if has actually arrived and in the warehouse or out on the floor. He took my details and committed to call when it was available. I didn't receive a call in the next couple of days so I rang the local Thrifty Link - they had the item for $1 or so cheaper.

Poor, poor service Bunnings.

Atrocious service + no return/exchange policy.
When the home appliance I want was out of stock, the staff was quick to recommend something twice the price. There was no display model and I have skepticism it may not be fit for purpose so I inquire about the return policy.
To my disbelief, the staff said once I opened it, no return accepted. I talked to the store manager, he said they don't do "test drive" and they don't sell "second hand".
What happened to opened box? And restocking fees? Sadly, Bunnings went "All Sales Are Final" and in the process, makes us pay more.

Paid $2.50 for a half sausage sandwich because the weirdos only give half a sausage.
Staff members heavy Asian accent couldn't understand a simple question of mine.
Another staff member saw me wait for 5 minutes to ask a question and he just walked away

Disappointed. Went to buy a 4ft trestle table as per their website. Tables were all in a mess. The only 4ft trestle tables (about 6 of them) were not very nice (dark plastic) Coleman and were in really poor shape. All scratched quite badly. No one is going to buy them in that state. Clear out your damaged stock and make sure you have adequate stock of things. I'm sure if I went back in a month it would be in the same state. Hopefully this post will get some action. I'll have to shop elsewhere in the meantime.
