Bunnings Rockdale

Despite the size of the place every aisle was clearly labeled and finding the type of product I wanted was quite easy.
The range of products was extensive and I found what I wanted in the price bracket I was prepared to pay.
The shopping experience was fairly painless and I would recommend Bunnings to anyone looking for hardware.

They refused to call the cops and accuse me of stealing under Australian law when I refused to tender my receipt as demanded by corporate policy.
I got everything I needed except the $200,000.00 defamation case.
Very unfortunate outcome.
Perhaps next time they will decide to enforce Australian laws, instead of trying to get me to submit to corporate policy, and I'll have a more successful result.
Back to work now instead of kicking back on my future defamation payout.
Wish me luck for my next Bunnings purchase.

One of my favourite places to shop at on a weekend. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. Always a good sausage sizzle going on at the front which is a bonus.

In particular the outdoor furniture and bbq section is excellent. Very big range and good pricing.

If you dont mind the crowds as its very busy definitely check it out.

Bunnings is like a warehouse full of Cockatoos. All the staff say "hello.. hello...hello hello" but when you ask a question they just tilt their head to the side, look at you and "squarkkk". Always understaffed here especially when all the tradies are there at 7am.

The woman at the tool shop desk cant even look you in the eye even if you go there EVERY DAY.

You must really scrape the bottom of the barrel to find your staff.

Just bought some stuff here and if I didn't know better I'd have thought I was in the USSR as far as the customer service was concerned. Primarily from "Bob, the power garden expert" whose outward hostility towards me (hey, all I did was politely ask if he could cut a 4m length of garden shade material for me) throughout 8-minute interaction, yet friendly nature towards a workmate who interrupted us halfway, made me question if he just hates customers, or only women, or Asian immigrants or what. Seriously, Bob, I don't care what kind of an "expert" you are, customer service is not where you belong.

Bunnings are great for all your DIY they have regular workshops onsite

Pleasant customer experience. Knowledgeable staff even in the later evening

Went into the store last week. Asked for assistance where a certain item was and the answer we received was 'over there" with a point of a finger. Clearly this person either did not know where items were or could not be bothered doing their job. Instead we left straight from Rockdale and went to Kingsgrove where we were greeted by two gentlemen who were more than happy to assist us and load our trolley for us as well. Now that is what I call customer service.

Friendly and mostly knowledagble staff, usually have what I need - best Bunnings in the area

Went in looking for some weed mat, seems as though they're too busy on Monday mornings re-stocking shelves that they're unwilling to allow customers to go through and select the product they're after. Very rude. A mess of a store at the best of times, but a complete disaster now.

How many times have you walked up and down the aisles of a store, couldn't find what you're looking for and then resort to asking the paid sales assistant if the product is available. How many times is the response with their pointing hand, "if we have it, it would be on the shelf". Oh duhhhh... that response means, "I cant be bothered doing my job and helping you. I just do this job so I can pay the rent. I don't care about customer service or helping you. Go look for yourself and how dare you ask me". Does that sound familiar? Yeh, go the garden centre at Bunnings Rockdale on a quiet Australia Day at 4pm and cop the same stinking attitude I just did. I wont name names so you don't lose your job but do yourself a favour and get another job you care about. That store is starting to lack good staff and the plants are lacking attention. Just shocking.

Went into this bunnings, asked a staff by the name of Bob for help and he was so unhelpful and rude. He was too busy unpacking stock and forgot the meaning of the word customer service.
Bobs star rating = 0

On the other hand a guy by the name of Jason from the lifestyle department
was so very helpful, patient and he knew his products well.
His customer service was excellent!
He told me everything I needed to know about what I wanted to buy.
Well done Jason. Keep up the excellent work.
