Bupa Dental Hornsby

Saw young male doctor who explained every step of the procedure to me with all advantages and disadvantages and let me choose the option; very happy with the dentist and facilities here; I recommend this dentist to all my friends !!

Very good facilities, but I am full of regret about how I wasted my time, money and nerves by going there, very very bad quality doctor (young black hair male doctor) was always trying to force (absolutely a bug) to do what he wanted me to do. It is the worst feeling that a doctor can give to a patient that they behave you like an ATM. He was madly in rush. Can you believe when you do not have any problem with your teeth at all and you just go for a regular check up whilst its just 6 months passed from your previous check up and you hear you need 4 fillings and 1 crown !!!!!!! even when I told him that I just want to do 3 fillings for today, he said why ???? and he was trying to force me to do 4 fillings and the crown at the same day in 1 hour (OMG I still can not believe it). Long story short; he did 4 fillings and afterwards I had to go there 4 more times and the last time with another doctor to make my teeth smoother and floss-able (he did the most sloppiest fillings, I had the most uncomfortable feeling and I am not used to it after 5 months)
One more sentence left; DO NOT GO THERE .

Great facility and doctors; however staff at reception isn't great as we went there for me 4yr olds first dental checkup. While booking appointment, as we are Bupa covered, they said it's free for kids. However after the consultation I had to pay $62 as Bupa only covered part of it. I understand this will be based on the cover we got - however they should let the customer know in advance or why in first place they mentioned it's free for kids? Very disappointed.

The only reason I went to Bupa Dental was because I was covered by Bupa - but if this was the case I wouldn't have went there, rather would have chosen a better general dental clinic.

As far as dentists go, I dare say it would be impossible for me to rate a dentist the top score because let's face it, they are hardly a thrill to visit. Having said that, when I have to visit any my choice is Asquith Dental. Like all Aussie dentists, it is still expensive but unlike most Aussie dentists, I trust both the dentists here. They focus on preventive care which is a little late for me and I need extensive treatment; however, having said that I actually do trust their kind and caring attitude, wonderful sense of humour and willingness to go out of their way to be gentle and explain the process as one's mouth is being accosted. Ash, the newest member, is def worth a visit and Lucy, the manager of the practice is a gem.
