Oh dear. What happened? I'd hyped this old favourite to a friend as we traveled down to Burrawang as "how country pubs should be done" to get there and find they'd managed to strip out the soul of the place and replace it with a permanent wedding marquee, whitewashed walls, TVs, excessively loud music, cheap furniture and zero atmosphere. Such a shame.

Great day out in the Highlands. Do it soon and catch the fruit trees blooming.

Recently renovated with a new menu. It's really nice.

Great spot for a bite to eat. Good food. Great setting!

Recently sold to outside interests and no longer the Burrawang Hotel we all knew and loved. It's been stripped out, repainted, had a giant TV inserted into the bar (despite requests from the regulars to not do this), water is served in plastic cups (are we at a school fete?) and the menu is, well, disappointing to say the least. Every meal comes drowned in a lake of hospital gravy, is either over-cooked or under-cooked (raw sausages not acceptable) or pretending to be something it's not (pate and terrine are not the same thing. Not even close). If you are thinking of just going for a drink, prepare to be disappointed on that front too. No local beers or even craft beers - just the most generic brands on tap. No dark beers or stouts, no artisan ciders, no decent single-malt whiskeys. In other words, everything is cheap cheap cheap, but you will be paying premium prices. After 20 years of this being my local, dinner on Saturday was my list visit to the 'Wang. To the new owners: THANKS FOR RUINING OUR PUB.

Nice food (amazing pickle on burger), great view.

I use to love coming here before there was a change in owners. Very disappointed having lunch just now. Very over priced salad, was mainly rocket and not much vegetables. $23 is a lot to pay for rocket!!! Left feeling hungry still. Don't know if I'd bother returning again now...

I am currently making sweet sweet love to 400gms of tender juicy rib eye Perfection, in front of a cracking view from the beer garden. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a good meal and cold beer.
