The purpose of Burwood Community Welfare Services Inc (BCWS) is to provide a variety of services to members of the community within the Inner West area, primarily for people dealing with poverty, distress and misfortune. Wherever possible and without discrimination, BCWS provides care and support directly to those in need.

Burwood Community Welfare Services Inc. offers a range of services including:
-Burwood Women's Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service
: Providing emotional support for legal aid, the court process and for referral to appropriate local agencies.
-Inner West Counselling Service
: Providing non-judgemental support in a safe environment to enhance psychological well-being.
-Inner West Family Support Service
: Providing support services to families with dependent children who are having trouble managing the stresses of life.
-Inner West Meals on Wheels (Meals on Wheels)
: Providing a low-cost nutritional meals to the frail, aged and people with disabilities.

The aim of BCWS are to maintain the self-respect and dignity of our clients, to provide services in a non-judgmental way and to assist our clients in achieving personal empowerment to live healthy functional lives.
